Reunion Dinner Dance and Alumni Day

In October, the Reunion Dinner Dance and Alumni Day at Einstein brought more than 200 alumni together to reconnect, celebrate, and reflect on past achievements and the College of Medicine’s promising future. This was a particularly special year, as Medical Scientist Training Program (MSTP) alums joined to mark the program’s 60th anniversary, and the Classes of 1974 and 1974A celebrated their 50th reunion.

Yaron Tomer, M.D., the Marilyn and Stanley M. Katz Dean, welcomes Einstein alumni with a “State of the College” address.

Festivities kicked off at The Lighthouse at Chelsea Piers, where alumni enjoyed an evening of cocktails, dinner, and dancing. The following morning, alumni gathered on campus for Alumni Day, and were welcomed with an inspiring “State of the College” address from the Marilyn and Stanley M. Katz Dean, Yaron Tomer, M.D.

Alumni then participated in several presentations, including an interview with Jack Stern, M.D., Ph.D. ’74, by Roger Duvivier, M.D. ’74, who shared reflections on a career as a neurosurgeon, and a talk with Melissa J. Fazzari, Ph.D., and Michelle Ng Gong, M.D., on artificial intelligence in healthcare. The day concluded with the MSTP Symposium and a reception.

A special moment came when Alumni Association President Richard Frankenstein, M.D., M.A.C.P., presented the honorary alumna award to Chair of the Einstein Board of Trustees Ruth L. Gottesman, Ed.D., in recognition of her decades-long transformational leadership and dedication to the College of Medicine.
