Einstein Grants Tenure and Names Endowed Scholars

The Einstein Board of Trustees, along with Yaron Tomer, M.D., the Marilyn and Stanley M. Katz Dean at Einstein, recently awarded tenure to four faculty members. They are:

Meelad M. Dawlaty, Ph.D.

Professor of genetics and of developmental & molecular biology

David R. Fooksman, Ph.D.

Professor of pathology and of microbiology & immunology

Hilda Ye, Ph.D.

Professor of cell biology

David C. Zhu, Ph.D.

Professor of radiology

In addition, two faculty members have received endowed faculty scholar or chair appointments.

Laura Thi Germine, Ph.D. has been named the Jack and Glory Einiger Faculty Scholar. Dr. Germine is also an associate professor in the Saul R. Korey Department of Neurology and chief of that department’s Division of Brain & Cognitive Health Technology.

Sophie Molholm, Ph.D. has been named the Dr. E. Richard Feinberg Chair in Schizophrenia Research. Dr. Molholm is also a professor of pediatrics and of psychiatry and behavioral sciences and in the Dominick P. Purpura Department of Neuroscience.
