Einstein Board Chair Emerita Ruth Gottesman, Ed.D., addresses the audience at the Montefiore Einstein in Florida Luncheon.
On a beautiful March afternoon in Palm Beach, friends, partners, and supporters gathered for the annual Montefiore Einstein in Florida Luncheon, an event that highlighted the importance of advancing the institution’s mission in research, education, and patient care.
The program featured a conversation between Vafa Tabatabaie, M.D., the interim chief of the department of medicine’s division of endocrinology and a professor of medicine and of orthopaedic surgery, and Yaron Tomer, M.D., the Marilyn and Stanley M. Katz Dean at Einstein. Their discussion, “Building Better Bones: Your Guide to Lifelong Strength,” offered insights into the critical role of nutrition, prevention, and weight-bearing exercise in maintaining strength and reducing the risk of age-related conditions.
Guests also heard remarks from Philip O. Ozuah, M.D., Ph.D., the president and chief executive officer of Montefiore Einstein, who expressed deep appreciation for the leadership of Ruth L. Gottesman, Ed.D., a professor emerita of pediatrics at Einstein, as she concluded her tenure as chair of Einstein’s Board of Trustees. Dr. Ozuah recognized Dr. Gottesman’s decades of dedication, steady guidance, and enduring impact on the institution’s growth and success. Dr. Gottesman, now chair emerita, in turn welcomed her successor, Stuart Spodek, whose commitment to Einstein’s mission will help advance its continued progress.
The luncheon served as a celebration of Montefiore Einstein’s ongoing efforts to drive innovation in healthcare, educate future leaders, and strengthen the communities it serves.
